Robert Reid is a seasoned professional in disaster risk management and climate change policy, currently serving as a Senior Disaster Risk Management Specialist for The World Bank in the Africa Region since May 2010. Previously, Robert held various roles at The World Bank, including Disaster Risk Management Specialist for both the Africa Region and the Global Facility for Disaster Reduction and Recovery. Prior to this, Robert worked as a Climate Change Policy Coordinator for the European Commission and gained consultancy experience in political advocacy and communications with cabinet DN. Robert also contributed to renewable energy research as an Expert for the Johannesburg Renewable Energy Coalition and completed traineeships with the European Commission and the United Nations Environment Programme Finance Initiative. Academic credentials include a Master of Arts in Contemporary European Studies and Trans-Atlantic Relations and a Bachelor of Science in Economics & Politics, both from the University of Bath.
