Gwil Mason

Gwil Mason is the Financial System Engagement Lead at the World Benchmarking Alliance since September 2023. Previously, Gwil served as a Lead Associate in ESG Policy & Advisory at the Financial Conduct Authority from October 2019 to September 2023, where responsibilities included leading ESG data and ratings initiatives and managing the implementation of Sustainability Disclosure Requirements. Prior roles include Senior Associate at the FCA, where Gwil oversaw a cross-organizational team focused on sustainability initiatives, and Policy Adviser at The Investment Association, delivering policy positions on stewardship and corporate governance. Gwil also has experience as a Corporate Governance Analyst at Boudicca Proxy Consultants, providing governance analyses and client advisory services. Gwil holds a Bachelor of Science in Anthropology from UCL and a Post-Graduate Diploma in Economics from Birkbeck, University of London.
