Karissa Perez

Karissa Perez currently serves as the Director of Global Strategic Initiatives at World Business Chicago since January 2023, having previously held the position of Senior Manager in the same department. Prior experience includes serving as Outreach Coordinator for U.S. Senator Richard J. Durbin from May 2019 to January 2023 and working as an Associate at The Frost Group. Karissa has also contributed to political campaigns, notably as Deputy Finance Director for Marie Newman for Congress, where responsibilities involved managing fundraising events and stakeholder engagement. Early career experiences include internships at the Consulate General of Ireland in Chicago, The Chicago Council on Global Affairs, and the Office of the Prime Minister of Kosovo, focusing on policy analysis and community engagement. Karissa holds a Master of Arts in Political Science from James Madison University and a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from DePaul University.
