World Creativity Day
Rui Pinheiro serves as the Lead Organizer for Techstars Startup Week Guimarães, a community-driven event showcasing local startup ecosystems. Holding a position in the Economic Development Division of Município de Guimarães and Set.Up Guimarães, Rui also contributes as a Professor of Entrepreneurship and Innovation at ENEB - Escuela de Negocios Europea de Barcelona. Engagements include serving as an Ambassador for World Creativity Day, Editor in Chief at Emagazine, and President of APEE de Merelim S. Paio. Rui is involved with TEDxBraga as an Organizer and in partnerships and is a founding member and manager of the Escola do Empreendedor. Previous experience includes the Events & Partnerships Manager role at Startup Braga. Rui's education is extensive, with degrees in various aspects of entrepreneurship and management from institutions such as Universidade Nova de Lisboa and the Universidade do Minho, complemented by certifications in digital marketing and emotional intelligence.

World Creativity Day
On 1 May 2017, the United Nations General Assembly published the Resolution 71/284, recognizing that citizens and organizations around the world already observed a day to celebrate Creativity since 2002. WCD is a global purpose driven community founded by the psychologist and social entrepreneur Lucas Foster, to accomplish the Resolution 71/284 adopted by the UN General Assembly on 27, Apr 2017. Lucas Foster started to celebrate creativity with an event called World Creativity Day in 17 November 2014, in São Paulo, Brazil. In 2018, World Creativity Day reached 6,000 people in 14 cities from north to south of the country with more than 360 hours of content. In 2019, the World Day of Creativity, created by Foster, will be held in 50 cities in Brazil and also in Portugal, Germany and Serbia.
