World Cube Association
Akshaansh Chilakapati is currently a Graduate Research Assistant at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign, collaborating with Professor Jordan Smart on applications of Machine Learning in control-related problems, specifically in aerospace engineering. Previously, Akshaansh interned at the High Strain Rate Mechanics Laboratory, where a Python script was developed to automate the imaging process, significantly improving efficiency. Serving as a Graduate Teaching Assistant in Astronomy, Akshaansh supports students in understanding complex concepts and grading assignments. Additionally, as Membership Director of Illini Cubers, responsibilities include managing events and competitions. Active in the speedcubing community, Akshaansh is a member of the WCA Regulations Committee, a ranked professional speedcuber, and a content creator on YouTube. Educational qualifications include a current Master's degree pursuit in Aerospace Engineering and a Bachelor's degree in the same field from Shanmugha Arts, Science, Technology and Research Academy.

World Cube Association
The World Cube Association governs competitions for mechanical puzzles that are operated by twisting groups of pieces, commonly known as 'twisty puzzles'. Most famous of these puzzles is the Rubik's Cube, invented by professor Rubik from Hungary. A selection of these puzzles are chosen as official events of the WCA. The World Cube Association organizes competitions all over the world, supported by regional organizations responsible for organizing competitions in their countries. The Mission of the World Cube Association is to have more competitions in more countries with more people and more fun, under fair and equal conditions. The Spirit of the World Cube Association is that people from all over the world have fun together in a friendly atmosphere, help each other and behave sportsmanlike.
