James White is currently the Chief Programs Officer at World Design Capital San Diego Tijuana 2024 and the Director of Legacy. Prior to this, James held the position of SPM at UC San Diego Design Lab, where James focused on human-centered design and addressing complex societal issues. Additionally, James has experience as a Brand Strategist, CX Professional, and Design Thinker at Kingsley Consulting, as well as serving as the Chief Experience Officer at organifi. James has a background in business strategy, creative strategy, and experience design, with a passion for empowering individuals through joyful well-being.

As the World Design Capital of 2024, San Diego and Tijuana will bring together civic leaders, activists, and multidisciplinary designers to address our region’s most pressing challenges by design. The year-long series of public events, conferences, policy summits, workshops, and more will accelerate the exchange of ideas and create opportunity for collaboration among our diverse communities.
