Brynne Stanton is a seasoned professional in the fields of bioeconomy and biotechnology, currently serving as Thematic Lead for Bioeconomy at the World Economic Forum since June 2023. Previously, Brynne held the position of Venture Partner at Sapir Venture Partners and co-founded Joyn Bio, where the role included strategic innovation and microbial engineering. Extensive experience includes serving as Program Director and Biological Engineer at Ginkgo Bioworks, focusing on technical engineering and strategic design for industrial bioprocesses, as well as postdoctoral positions at MIT and UCSF, emphasizing research and development in biochemistry. Educational credentials include a Bachelor of Arts in Biochemistry & French from the University of Oregon and a Ph.D. in Biomolecular Chemistry from the University of Wisconsin-Madison.
