Dr Ruma Bhargava

Global Lead at World Economic Forum

Dr. Ruma Bhargava serves as Global Lead at the World Economic Forum, focusing on health initiatives that address mental health, climate, women's and children's health, and digital health, while fostering partnerships with over 75 global organizations and managing fundraising efforts. As the Founder and Head of Samarpann, an NGO dedicated to improving health and education for disadvantaged children in rural and tribal India, Dr. Bhargava has positively impacted 40,000 children through various initiatives, including WASH programs in schools. Additional roles include Adjunct Professor at Manipal Academy of Higher Education, where Dr. Bhargava mentors on health policy, and previous positions as International Health Delegate for the International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies and Research Officer for the Government of India, where significant health policies affecting millions were developed. Dr. Bhargava's educational background includes a Chevening Fellowship from the University of Oxford, an MBA from Nanyang Business School, and a Post Graduation in Public Health Management from Indian Institutes of Public Health.
