Javi Gesto has a diverse work experience in the creative and video production industry. Javi started their career at "Vida en Marte" Estudio de Postproduccion en Madrid, where they co-founded and directed a successful post-production studio specializing in motion graphics and special effects. After four years, they left the studio to join Canal+ Spain as a freelance filmmaker, and later became a permanent member of the team. At Canal+, they co-directed a culture-focused television magazine, expanding their experience in visual media. In 2000, Javi co-founded Struendo Filmmakers, a production company where they directed and produced documentaries, TV commercials, motion graphics, and music videos for mainstream artists. Later, they worked as a Workshop Instructor at IED International School of Design, contributing to various master programs by designing and instructing workshops on visual design techniques. Since 2012, Javi has been working as the Creative Director and Filmmaker for World Economic Forum, where they lead the creation of video content.

Javi Gesto attended Panamericana de Arte from 1980 to 1983, where they earned a Bachelor's degree in Fine Arts with a focus on Graphic Design. Additionally, they also studied at Escuela Panamericana de Arte, specializing in Graphic Design and Advertising, with a particular emphasis on Art Direction.
