Kesang Tashi Ukyab

Lead, Cyber Resilience at World Economic Forum

Kesang Tashi Ukyab has a diverse work experience in the fields of cyber resilience, innovation and technology, and aviation.

From January 2023 to the present, Kesang serves as the Lead for Cyber Resilience at the World Economic Forum's Electricity Initiative.

Prior to this, Kesang had a significant tenure at the Airports Council International - ACI World, where they held the roles of Senior Manager and Manager of Innovation and Technology. From November 2019 to August 2022, Kesang worked as the Senior Manager, and from November 2019 to October 2020, they were the Manager for the same department.

Starting from November 2021 to July 2022, Kesang worked as an Industry Observer and ACI Delegation Lead on the Cybersecurity Panel for The International Civil Aviation Organization. Additionally, from October 2020 to April 2022, Kesang was the Chair/Rapporteur of the Secretariat Group on Cybersecurity, as part of the Working Group on Airlines and Aerodromes within the same organization. Previously, from November 2019 to October 2020, Kesang held the role of a Member in the Secretariat Study Group on Cybersecurity.

From November 2019 to April 2021, Kesang worked as an Advisor in Cyber Resilience in Aviation at the World Economic Forum.

Before joining the World Economic Forum, Kesang was associated with the International Air Transport Association (IATA). From September 2017 to October 2019, Kesang worked as a Data Transformation Specialist, and from September 2016 to September 2017, they held the position of Digital Transformation Analyst.

Prior to their roles at IATA, Kesang held the position of Product Director (Mobile Platform) at Pingo Space from June 2015 to June 2016.

Kesang's earliest work experience was at UMBRA Technologies Limited, where they served as a Product Manager (Network Security) from February 2012 to June 2014.

Kesang Tashi Ukyab holds an International Master of Business Administration (IMBA) degree in Management from the University of International Business and Economics. In addition to their formal education, they have obtained several certifications, including Agile Foundations, Project Management: International Projects, Design Thinking: Data Intelligence, Digital Technologies Case Studies: AI, IOT, Robotics, Blockchain, AWS Certified Solutions Architect - Associate (SAA-C02) Cert Prep: 3 Virtual Private Cloud, Improving Your Listening Skills, Leading like a Futurist, Lean Six Sigma Foundations, Leadership in Tech, Leading in Crisis, Artificial Intelligence for Cybersecurity, Creating Your IT Strategy, Introduction to Web APIs, IoT Foundations: Fundamentals, Jeff Weiner on Establishing a Culture and a Plan for Scaling, Strategic Thinking, Web Security: User Authentication and Access Control, Combatting Human Trafficking, Introduction to Digital Twins, and Cybersecurity for Airport Executives. These certifications were obtained from institutions such as LinkedIn and Airports Council International - ACI World.
