Sara Talia (Khatami) is currently serving as the Partner Engagement Lead for Investors Industries at the World Economic Forum since February 2022. Prior to this role, Sara held multiple positions at What Works Cities from November 2018 to February 2022, including Senior Manager, Manager, and Associate, contributing to improving local government decision-making through data and evidence. In 2017, Sara worked as an Independent Consultant for the City of Durham, focusing on economic opportunities for justice-involved individuals, and as an Economic Development Intern at RW Ventures, LLC. Additionally, Sara served as an Associate Project Manager at Raff and Becker, LLP from June 2013 to May 2016, overseeing a software program aimed at reducing racial discrimination in construction trades. Sara began a career in public service as an Outreach Intern at the Massachusetts Commission Against Discrimination in 2012. Educationally, Sara holds a Master’s Degree in Public Policy Analysis from Duke University and a Bachelor's Degree from Boston College.
