Sheikh Islam is an accomplished professional with extensive experience in international economic policy and event programming. At the World Economic Forum from February 2018 to June 2023, Sheikh served as Head of Events Editorial (Programming), overseeing content curation for major institutional meetings including the Annual Meeting in Davos. Additionally, as Head of Government Affairs for the Centre for the 4th Industrial Revolution Network, Sheikh managed a network of affiliate centers and advocated for regulatory changes in emerging technologies. In earlier roles at the World Bank Group, Sheikh contributed to national statistical strategies and public financial management initiatives, while holding academic positions at Columbia University and The Brookings Institution. Sheikh holds a Master's in Advanced Global Leadership from Columbia University and a certificate in Public Policy from Harvard Kennedy School.
