Matthias Pries

Matthias Pries is an experienced investment professional currently serving as the Manager of Investments at World Education Services since 2023. In addition to this role, Matthias is an active member of project development and support for The Jubilee Fund Inc. since July 2024 and an investment committee member at Malbec Investments since January 2021. Previous experience includes a senior associate position at Convergence Blended Finance in 2021, an innovative finance fellow at Impact Canada from 2018 to 2020, and various roles at MaRS Discovery District, Social Finance, Grand Challenges Canada, GLOBE Group, and Export Development Canada. Matthias holds a Master of Science in Climate Change Finance and Investment from the University of Edinburgh Business School and a Bachelor of Environmental Studies in Environment and Business from the University of Waterloo.
