Silan Akgul

Silan Akgul is an accomplished communications professional with extensive experience in social impact communications and development. Currently serving as Senior Manager of Social Impact Communications at World Education Services since January 2020, Silan previously held the role of Communications Manager at the Mariam Assefa Fund. Earlier experience includes serving as Communications Associate at The Helmsley Charitable Trust, where contributions significantly enhanced the communications function of one of the top private grantmaking foundations in the U.S. Additionally, Silan worked as a Digital Media Coordinator, where efforts included doubling website content and facilitating social media growth.
