Amer Gharib

Senior Manager, Energy Transition Insights at World Energy Council

Amer Gharib currently works as the Manager of Energy Transition Insights at World Energy Council since April 2023. Prior to this role, at UNDP Accelerator Labs, Amer served as a Graduate Consultant for the SIPA Capstone Project from October 2021 to May 2022. Amer also worked as an Economic Researcher at UNDP at the Presidency of the Council of Ministers from January 2018 to July 2020, and as a Research Assistant for the Lebanon Water Project at DAI from January 2017 to December 2017. Amer holds a Master of Public Administration in Economic and Political Development from Columbia University and a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from the American University of Beirut.

The World Energy Council is the world's oldest independent and impartial community of energy leaders and practitioners.
