Mark Tarrien

Director of Business Development & Feasibility at World Energy

Mark Tarrien has a diverse work experience spanning multiple industries. Mark began their career in 1998 as a CAD Operator at Forward Planning, LLC, where they developed drawings for automotive conveyor systems. Mark then worked as a CAD Instructor at Farmington Public Schools, where they created curriculum and taught classes to at-risk students.

In 2000, Tarrien returned to the CAD field as a CAD Operator/Project Engineer at Technical Conveyor Group, Inc., where they developed drawings for various conveyor systems and assisted in bid package development. Mark also worked as a Project Engineer, creating drawings and managing projects.

Tarrien joined World Energy, LLC in 2003 as a Plant Operator/Lab Technician/Lab Manager, performing duties such as testing samples and starting/stopping equipment. Mark later became the Quality Manager, developing QA/QC and QMS for accreditation. In 2007, they joined Green Earth Fuels of Houston, LLC as the Director of Production and Quality, overseeing business development and managing QA/QC.

In 2015, Tarrien worked as the Director of Quality at Superior State Consulting, leading various projects and performing due diligence for clients. Mark then returned to World Energy, LLC in 2019 as the Director of Business Development & Feasibility, responsible for business development and feasibility analysis.

Additionally, Tarrien worked as a Project Engineer at Technical Conveyor Group, Inc. in 2016, developing drawings for conveyor systems. Throughout their career, they have demonstrated expertise in project management, quality assurance, and technical testing.

Mark Tarrien completed their Associate's degree in Liberal Arts from Oakland Community College from 1990 to 1994. Following this, they pursued a Bachelor's degree in Economics from Wayne State University and graduated in 1997.
