The World Federation of UN Associations (WFUNA) is a global nonprofit organization representing and coordinating a membership of over 100 national United Nations Associations (UNAs) and their thousands of constituents. Based at the United Nations in New York and in Geneva, we are the largest international network of people supporting and engaging with the United Nations. 

Guided by our vision of a United Nations that is a powerful force in meeting common global challenges and opportunities, WFUNA is a civil society organization that works to strengthen and improve the United Nations. We achieve this through the engagement of people who share a global mindset and support international cooperation – global citizens. 

The WFUNA Secretariat is currently led by Secretary-General Bonian Golmohammadi and his staff in New York, Geneva, and Seoul. The acting President of WFUNA is former president of the Dominican Republic, Leonel Fernandez.

The Administrative and Committee Support Team at WFUNA undertakes a range of tasks to ensure smooth organizational operations and effective execution of programs. This includes providing logistical support for meetings and events, coordinating communication between various UN associations and stakeholders, aiding in the development and implementation of peace, sustainable development, and human rights initiatives, and assisting in financial and youth engagement activities. Their efforts align with the overarching mission to strengthen the United Nations through global citizen participation.
