The World Federation of UN Associations (WFUNA) is a global nonprofit organization representing and coordinating a membership of over 100 national United Nations Associations (UNAs) and their thousands of constituents. Based at the United Nations in New York and in Geneva, we are the largest international network of people supporting and engaging with the United Nations. 

Guided by our vision of a United Nations that is a powerful force in meeting common global challenges and opportunities, WFUNA is a civil society organization that works to strengthen and improve the United Nations. We achieve this through the engagement of people who share a global mindset and support international cooperation – global citizens. 

The WFUNA Secretariat is currently led by Secretary-General Bonian Golmohammadi and his staff in New York, Geneva, and Seoul. The acting President of WFUNA is former president of the Dominican Republic, Leonel Fernandez.

The Education and Training Team at WFUNA focuses on developing and implementing educational programs and training initiatives that promote the values and goals of the United Nations. They work on creating workshops, seminars, and online courses aimed at empowering youth and global citizens with knowledge about peace, security, sustainable development, and human rights. This team collaborates closely with various stakeholders to ensure that their educational content is impactful and widely accessible.
