Alexander Thomas

Alexander Thomas currently serves as the Head of TEC and Pacific ETC Coordinator at the World Food Programme, overseeing disaster response support across 14 Pacific countries and territories. Previously, Alexander held various roles at UNHCR, including Emergency Coordination Officer, where responsibilities included coordinating global crisis responses and developing emergency procedures. Additionally, Alexander has experience as the Head of National Office (a.i.) within UNHCR, coordinating inter-agency efforts related to the Sahel crisis. Prior to that, Alexander led international relations and communication at Télécoms Sans Frontières, enhancing global coordination systems engagement. Alexander holds a Master of Arts in International Migration and Ethnic Relations from Malmö University and a Bachelor of Arts in French Studies from The University of Manchester.
