Amen Gumbo

Amen Gumbo is an experienced public health professional currently serving as an Immunization Surveillance Officer with the World Health Organization since March 2024. Previously, Amen worked as a Technical Advisor for Disease Surveillance and Data/M&E with Jhpiego from April 2023 to March 2024, and as a Monitoring, Evaluation, and Learning Manager for the US President's Malaria Initiative: VectorLink Project at Abt Associates from October 2018 to February 2023. Roles included management of data collection systems, establishing routine monitoring and evaluation systems, and aggregating programmatic data. Amen's background also encompasses positions as an Environmental Health Specialist with the Ministry of Health and Child Care in Zimbabwe and as a Public Health Specialist with the Bulawayo City Health Department. Academic qualifications include a Master of Public Health from the University of Zimbabwe, a Bachelor's degree in Monitoring and Evaluation from Lupane State University, and a Bachelor of Science in Environmental Health from Solusi University. A certificate in Leadership & Management in Health is pending completion at the University of Washington in June 2024.
