Dr Mohammed Asheel

Dr Mohammed Asheel currently serves as a National Professional Officer at the World Health Organization, focusing on injuries, disabilities, assistive technology, and rehabilitation since April 2022. Previously, Dr Asheel held leadership roles, including Executive Director at the National Institute of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation, where the institution was elevated to a "centre of Excellence in the disability sector" within a short time. As Executive Director at the Kerala Social Security Mission, Dr Asheel designed and implemented over 20 projects addressing health determinants for vulnerable populations and managed substantial government funds effectively. Additional experience includes serving as Project Director for the State Initiative on Disabilities and as State Nodal Officer for Trauma Care, contributing to national health initiatives and improving trauma and emergency preparedness. Dr Asheel holds a Master of Public Health from Sree Chitra Tirunal Institute and is pursuing an MBA from Manipal University Jaipur.
