Mukhtiar Hussain

Mukhtiar Hussain is an experienced public health professional with a background in epidemiology and medical technical support, currently serving as a Medical/Technical Officer (P4) at the World Health Organization since April 2016. Previous roles at the World Health Organization include Area Coordinator and Medical Officer, where responsibilities encompassed supporting polio eradication efforts, overseeing surveillance activities, and leading provincial teams in Afghanistan. Prior experience includes working as a Project Officer at UNICEF and as an Epidemiologist for the government, focusing on disease prevalence and health system surveys. Mukhtiar Hussain holds a Master in Community and Public Health from Griffith University and a Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery from Chandka Medical College Larkana.
