Paola Vargas Diaz

Paola Vargas Diaz currently serves as an Operational Partnerships Consultant in Emergency Management Operations with the World Health Organization, having started in March 2024, and previously held a role as a Partner Coordination Temporary Advisor for OPt/Sudan Incident Management Support Teams. Between September 2021 and December 2023, Paola worked as a Secretariat in Governance, Knowledge Management, and Communications for the Global Health Cluster at the World Health Organization. Prior experience includes serving as the Health Information Systems and Monitoring, Evaluation and Quality Coordinator at Compañeros en Salud | Partners in Health Mexico, and a Medical and Scientific Grant Writer for Inspiralia. Paola's early positions included an internship at the World Health Organization in Health Promotion and Social Determinants of Health and roles as an attending physician at Instituto de Salud Publica del Estado de Mexico ISEM, and a medical intern at Grupo Angeles Servicios de Salud. Paola holds a Master's degree in International Cooperation and Development from Università Cattolica del Sacro Cuore and a Doctor of Medicine from Universidad Anáhuac.
