Sokol Shameti

Sokol Shameti is a communications specialist with extensive experience in media and public engagement. Currently serving as a Risk Communication and Community Engagement/Communications Specialist at the World Health Organization since October 2023, Sokol previously worked as a Media Advisor at the Ombudsman Office from August 2017 to October 2023. Sokol has held leadership roles such as Editor in Chief at DigitAlb and Top Channel, directing teams and overseeing content creation and editing. Additional experience includes positions as Editor in Chief at Korrieri Newspaper, TV KLAN, and serving as Media Director for the Mjaft! Movement. Sokol began a career in journalism as a Columnist for Gazeta "Shqip," and a Spokesperson for the Ministry of Urban Planning and Tourism of Albania. Sokol holds a Master’s degree in Journalism from the University of Tirana, where studies were completed from 1996 to 2000.
