Lahcen Haddad

Lahcen Haddad joined World Learning Inc.’s Board of Trustees in October 2019. He is a World Bank expert in human and social development, a professor with the Toulouse Business School in Casablanca, and an affiliated writer/contributor with Harvard Business Review and Entrepreneur. He is also member of the World Bank and International Monetary Fund (IMF) Parliamentary Network Governing Board.

Between 2012 and 2016, Haddad was the minister of tourism with the Government of Morocco, where he oversaw the shift of Morocco towards becoming a leading destination in the Mediterranean, Africa, and the Middle East and a reference country with regards to sustainable tourism. Prior to 2012, he worked for USAID and other donors as an international expert in Strategic Management, Monitoring and Evaluation, Entrepreneurship and Policy Change.
