Merlinda Shazellenne

Merlinda Shazellenne currently serves as the Principal Assistant Director in the Occupational Health Division at the Department of Occupational Safety and Health (DOSH) and holds the position of Director of Medical Education with the World Medical Association since October 2023. In addition, Merlinda has been a Medical Doctor and Orthopaedic Senior Medical Officer at the Ministry Of Health, Malaysia since 2014, where responsibilities have included being a registered organ donation ambassador and leading LEAN Clinic Management for the Orthopaedic Clinic. Previous experience includes the role of District Medical Officer across various hospital departments and serving as a House Officer. Merlinda has actively participated in professional organizations, including the Malaysian Medical Association, holding positions such as the JDN Chairperson and Honorary Secretary of Negeri Sembilan. Merlinda earned a Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) from AIMST University and a degree in Occupational Health from the National Institute of Occupational Safety and Health.
