Alexander Perera has extensive experience in the energy and environmental sectors, currently serving as Deputy Global Director of the Energy Program and Global Director of the Electricity Initiative at the World Resources Institute since May 2007. Previously, Alexander was a founding partner and Director of Sales and Business Development at Seahorse Power Company, where efforts focused on the commercialization of a solar-powered waste collection system. Prior experiences include roles as a Research Associate at the Natural Resources Defense Council, where support was provided for clean energy policies, and as a Financial Analyst at Bear Stearns, contributing to significant public financing transactions. Alexander holds an MBA in Finance from Babson F.W. Olin Graduate School of Business and a BA in Environmental Science, Economics, and French from Boston University.
