Berhanu Desta

Berhanu Desta is the Global Accounting Director in Operations department. He is responsible for the direct management of several key accounting and reporting functions such as financial and regulatory reporting; internal controls and risk management.

Berhanu has worked for various International nonprofit organizations. Prior to joining WRI, he served as Accounting Director at Women for Women International based in Washington, DC. Berhanu is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) and holds a BA degree in Economics from Addis Ababa University and MBA in Accounting from Maharishi International University in Iowa.

Berhanu is originally from Ethiopia lives in Silver Spring, MD.
