Steven Bland

Steven Bland is an accomplished professional in climate change and urban planning, currently serving as the Chief of Party for the Clean Air Catalyst at the World Resources Institute since February 2024. With prior experience as a systems design advisor at Dark Matter Labs, and as a climate change and innovation specialist at UN-Habitat, Steven has a strong background in supporting governments in implementing innovative urban climate solutions. His notable contributions include strategic project delivery for the Urban-LEDS initiative and the creation of participatory scenario planning processes in Sweden. Steven has also held positions at various organizations, including LGiU and the Earthwatch Institute, demonstrating expertise in policy development, sustainability consulting, and education. Steven holds a BA in Geography from the University of Cambridge, a Professional Master's in Leadership for Sustainable Development from Middlesex University, and an MA in Gender Studies from Linköping University.
