Tini Tran is an experienced communications professional with a strong background in journalism and international development. Currently serving as the Director of Global Communications and Engagement at the WRI Ross Center for Sustainable Cities since August 2018, Tini has previously held positions as an Independent Consultant and Program Advisor at The Asia Foundation. Tini's extensive journalism experience includes roles as China Correspondent and Vietnam Bureau Chief for The Associated Press, as well as reporter positions at the Los Angeles Times, San Jose Mercury News, and The Tennessean. Tini holds a Master in Public Policy specializing in International Development from Princeton University and has completed a Nieman Fellowship in Journalism at Harvard University. Tini earned a Bachelor of Arts in Government and a Bachelor of Journalism from The University of Texas at Austin.
