Whitney Mckinley

Whitney McKinley has a diverse work experience spanning various roles and industries. Whitney currently holds the position of Director of School Partnerships at World Savvy since June 2023. Prior to this, they served as the Lead Professional Learning Facilitator from July 2022 to June 2023 and as a Professional Learning Facilitator from June 2021 to October 2022 at the same organization. Before joining World Savvy, Whitney worked as a 5th Grade Teacher at Northeast College Prep from November 2017 to June 2021. Additionally, they gained experience as a Teaching Specialist/Lecturer: Art Methods at the University of Minnesota from November 2017 to May 2020. Whitney also filled the role of Assistant Principal at Hiawatha College Prep from July 2016 to October 2017 and at Hiawatha Academies from January 2013 to October 2017. Whitney started their career as an Art Teacher at Hiawatha Leadership Academies and later transitioned into the role of Program Development Manager, Diversity Lead at the National Youth Leadership Council. Prior to that, they worked as the Director of Curriculum and Instruction at The Academy of North Minneapolis and as an Elementary Teacher at Chicago Public Schools - John M Smyth Elementary. Whitney's work experience also includes a role as an Office Manager at Knighstbridge Solutions.

Whitney McKinley obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Art from Denison University in 2002. Whitney later pursued further education and earned a Master of Education degree in Curriculum and Instruction from National Louis University from 2006 to 2008. Additionally, they hold a Minnesota Teaching License from the Minnesota Department of Education.
