Mike Frawley

Mike Frawley is the current CEO of WSEM at World Steel Dynamics Inc. Prior to this, they were the Head of the New York office for Cargill Inc. from 2014 to 2015. In this role, they provided metals hedging services for miners, merchants, fabricators and end-users. Mike was also responsible for base and precious metals business line, and developed group growth and marketing strategies which included Cargill becoming a London Metals Exchange member.

From 2012 to 2014, Mike Frawley was the Vice Chairman for Jefferies Bache. In this role, they were responsible for metals, energy, agriculture and softs trading and sales teams within Jeffries Bache and Jeffries & Company.

Mike Frawley has been in the metals industry since 1997 when they started as the Global Head of Metals for Newedge Calyon. In this role, they were responsible for Global Head of Metals Trading and Sales teams with staff in London, New York, Hong Kong, Shanghai, Dubai, Frankfurt, and Chicago. Under their leadership, the team achieved 18% market share.

Mike Frawley's educational career includes a degree from the University of New York and certification from the Securities and Futures in London Metal Exchange Board Director.

Mike Frawley reports to Philipp Englin, CEO. They work with John Conheeney - President, WSEM, Liu Jinghai - Director of Chinese Research, and Adam Green - Managing Director.
