Jeevanthi Liyanapathirana

Jeevanthi Liyanapathirana is a seasoned research scientist currently affiliated with HES-SO Haute école spécialisée de Suisse occidentale and SIB Swiss Institute of Bioinformatics, with a track record in bibliomics and text mining. Presently serving at the World Trade Organization as an IT solutions analyst, Jeevanthi manages a project on neural machine translation in collaboration with WIPO, focusing on the development of an in-house server and the training of a translation system. Previous roles include documents and language technologies specialist and special services consultant at the World Trade Organization, and a PhD fellowship at Copenhagen Business School and Idiap Research Institute, where research concentrated on integrating machine translation with speech recognition. Educational qualifications encompass a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science from the University of Colombo and a Master of Philosophy from the University of Cambridge, in addition to ongoing doctoral studies at the University of Geneva.
