Jonathan Werner

Manager, WTO Fish Fund at World Trade Organization

Jonathan Werner is an accomplished professional with extensive experience in trade, development, and organizational reform. Currently serving as the Manager of the WTO Fish Fund at the World Trade Organization since April 2022, Jonathan leads initiatives that integrate trade, environmental, and developmental objectives. Previously, Jonathan held the role of Implementation and Communications Specialist at the WTO, overseeing significant organizational reforms. As Portfolio Manager and Country Coordinator at the Enhanced Integrated Framework from 2013 to 2022, Jonathan managed a portfolio of trade and development projects across 13 countries. Additional experience includes consulting for the OECD on the integrity framework of Brazil's Federal Government and managing the State and Local Government branch at PATRI, a leading public affairs firm in Brazil. Jonathan holds an MPA from Sciences Po, an MBA from IMD, and has completed the Emerging Leaders Program at The Wharton School, along with a certificate in economic analysis from USP and a BA from Beloit College.
