Laura Gomez Bustos

Laura Gomez Bustos has a diverse work experience spanning over a decade. Laura started their career as a Researcher/Project Manager at the Observatory of Globalization-University of Barcelona in 2002. Laura then joined the International Chair WTO-Regional Integration at the University of Barcelona in 2006 as a Researcher/Project Manager. In 2007, Laura moved to the University of Barcelona's Law School, where they served as the Coordinator and later the Associate Director of the Master of Laws in International Economic Law and Policy (IELPO) program until 2011.

In 2012, Laura took on consultancy roles at the International Centre for Trade and Sustainable Development (ICTSD) and the World Trade Organization (WTO). At the WTO, they worked as a Dispute Settlement Lawyer under the Legal Affairs Division. Their consultancy at both organizations lasted until 2013.

Overall, Laura has gained extensive experience in international economic law, policy, and research through their various roles at prestigious institutions.

Laura Gomez Bustos has a diverse education history. Laura completed their Law Degree from Universitat de Barcelona between 1997 and 2002. In 2003, they pursued a Specialist Diploma in International Relations and Negotiations from FLACSO (Facultad Latinoamericana de Ciencias Sociales)-San Andrés. Laura then went on to earn a Master of Advanced Studies/Diploma de Estudios Avanzados (DEA)/Diplôme d'Etudes Approfondies in International Law from Universitat de Barcelona/University of Barcelona in 2004. Finally, from 2014 to 2015, Laura Gomez Bustos was a PhD Candidate in International Economic Law at Universitat de Barcelona.
