Walter Mawere

Walter Mawere is a seasoned communications and marketing professional with extensive experience in the non-profit sector. Currently serving as the Communications and Marketing Manager at World Vision since July 2025, Walter has previously held significant roles such as Advocacy and Communication Coordinator at CARE and Global Communication Lead (interim) at CARE Climate & Resilience Academy. Other notable positions include Media and Communication Manager at Save the Children International and Smile Again Africa Development Organization, as well as Media and Communication Specialist for the Feed the Future Zimbabwe Crop Development Program. Walter's expertise is supported by a Bachelor of Arts in English and Communication from Midlands State University and further training in humanitarian response and social media marketing.
