Melody Ip

Melody (Lee) Ip has a diverse work experience in various roles within the communications and writing field. Melody started their career at Weider Publications as a Copy Editor/Proofreader for FLEX and Fit Pregnancy magazines from an unknown date until 2006. Melody then worked at World Vision USA as a Senior Writer from May 2006 to April 2012. During this time, they also worked as a Freelance Writer/Copy Editor/Proofreader starting from April 2012. Melody continued their journey at World Vision USA as a Communications Program Officer (On-call) from September 2012 to March 2023. Melody was then promoted to Senior Communications Program Officer and Lead Copy Editor/Proofreader (On-call) from April 2023 until present. Additionally, they served as the Managing Editor and Writer at Mochi Magazine from March 2019 to March 2023, and they currently hold the position of Copy Chief and Writer at the same company. Overall, Melody Ip has a strong background in communication and writing, with experience in both freelance and organizational settings.

Melody (Lee) Ip attended San Francisco State University from 1997 to 1999, where they obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree in Journalism. Prior to that, they attended Cosumnes River College from 1995 to 1997, earning a General Education certificate. Melody completed their high school education at Valley High from 1991 to 1995. In addition to their formal education, they have obtained a certificate in AP Stylebook Workshop from The Associated Press in December 2023.
