Ed Huibers has over two decades of experience in the lighting industry. Ed started their career at SGS, where they worked as a Ce-consultant and later became the Manager of CE-certification. Ed then joined Philips Lighting, where they held various roles including Key-Account Manager and Product Marketing Manager. At Philips Lighting, they were responsible for product market management and played a key role in product development, market introduction, pricing, and support. Ed later worked at Hagemeyer Nederland as a General Manager, where they managed a sales branch and a logistic warehouse, focusing on improving turnover and profitability. Ed Huibers then returned to Philips Lighting as the Head of Product Management Benelux, overseeing the complete range of lighting products and setting pricing strategies. Ed also served as the Global Pricing Manager, where they developed value-based and value chain pricing structures and tools. Their next role was at Signify, where they became the Head of Business Development for Trulifi, responsible for the commercialization of LiFi technology globally. Ed later became the Segment Leader for Office and Hospitality Trulifi, scaling the business and developing value propositions, business models, channels, and partnerships. Currently, Ed Huibers is the Chief Commercial Officer (CCO) at World Wide Lighting B.V., a leading European specialist in lighting products. Their role involves driving commercial success and supporting businesses in finding their ideal lighting solutions.

Ed Huibers has a diverse education history. In 1991, they attended De Haagse Hogeschool / The Hague University of Applied Sciences, where they pursued a degree in Business. Ed successfully completed their studies and earned the degree of "Ing" in 1997. In 2003, Ed enrolled at Hult Ashridge for their High Potential Program, focusing on Business Administration and Management. In 2007 and 2008, they attended vanHarte&Lingsma, where they studied Communication Interaction and Management Skills. Recently, in 2021, they took courses in Innovation Management at the Rotterdam School of Management, Erasmus University.
