Leroy Kleimola

Leroy Kleimola is a seasoned broadcasting professional with extensive experience in sports and public address announcing. Currently serving as a part-time broadcaster at the University of Illinois Springfield since December 2023, Leroy also holds the position of News/Sports Director at WTIM Radio since April 2019, providing coverage for a six-county area and hosting play-by-play for Taylorville High School athletics. Additional roles include public address announcer for World Wide Technology Raceway and play-by-play commentator for the Springfield Lucky Horseshoes. Leroy's earlier experience includes technical roles at WNKY and Bowling Green Hot Rods, management at Cub Foods, and human resources in the U.S. Army. Educational credentials include a Bachelor's degree in Radio and Television Broadcasting from Western Kentucky University and earlier studies at the University of Arkansas Grantham.
