Arnaud Lyet is an accomplished wildlife conservation specialist with over two decades of experience in biodiversity monitoring and conservation strategies. Currently serving as Lead Specialist in Wildlife Conservation at the World Wildlife Fund since December 2010, Arnaud focuses on biostatistics, technology, and decision science to enhance the Network's capacity for cost-effective conservation measures. Previous roles include Senior Conservation Scientist and Program Officer at WWF, where Arnaud provided scientific expertise and mentorship while advancing research on innovative conservation technologies. Earlier positions at the Conservatoire d'espaces naturels de Provence-Alpes-Côte d'Azur involved leadership in conservation actions and scientific monitoring of the Orsini’s viper, culminating in the successful National Action Plan and a LIFE Best Nature Award. Arnaud's educational background includes a PhD in Evolution, Ecology and Conservation Biology from Université Montpellier II.
