Manuela Romero is an accomplished professional in private sector engagement, currently serving as a Senior Program Officer at the World Wildlife Fund since August 2019, with a progression of roles including Program Officer, Private Sector Engagement Coordinator, and Intern positions. Prior to this, Manuela held leadership roles as President and Treasurer of the George Washington University Chapter of the Food Recovery Network while also contributing as a Research and Community Engagement Intern and Public Relations Chair. Additional experience includes work as an Undergraduate Research Assistant and Teaching Assistant in the Biological Sciences Department at The George Washington University, and internships at the Biotechnology Innovation Organization and Fundacion Vista para Todos. Manuela holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Environmental Biology from The George Washington University, where studies were completed from 2015 to 2019, following completion of high school at The American School of Quito.
