Lior Sagi has a diverse work experience spanning over a decade. Lior began their career as a Video Editor at Tzilum-Pirsum Company in 2003, followed by a role as a Service Center member at the Society for the Protection of Nature in 2003-2004. In 2004-2005, they worked as a Member of the Editorial Board and Production Coordinator at Per Capita Productions. Lior then worked as a Researcher at Herzliya Studios in 2005-2006.

Lior Sagi's education history begins in 1996 when they attended Ein-Gedi High School. Lior completed the Film and Television department program there, earning a degree. In 2006, Lior briefly studied at The Open University of Israel, focusing on humanities and social studies. From 2007 to 2013, they attended Tel Aviv University, graduating with a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in Television and Film. Afterwards, in 2013, Lior enrolled at Kibbutzim College, where they pursued a Master's degree in Education until 2015. In addition to their formal education, Lior obtained a certification in the Film & Human Rights Program from The Public Committee against Torture in Israel in September 2015.
