Doris Capistrano

Doris Capistrano has extensive international experience in natural resources and development policy, teaching and research, ecosystems assessment, technical cooperation, capacity building and grant-making. She is Senior Fellow of the Southeast Asia Regional Center for Graduate Study and Research in Agriculture (SEARCA) and a Fellow of the Washington DC-based Rights and Resources Initiative (RRI).

She was Senior Advisor to SDC/ASEAN-Swiss Partnership on Social Forestry and Climate Change from 2011-2020. Previously she was a visiting professor in Forest and Conservation Policy at Wageningen University, Netherlands and Director of Forests and Governance of the Center for International Forestry Research (CIFOR).
