Murph Finnicum

Murph Finnicum is an accomplished engineering leader with extensive experience in software development and technical management. Currently serving as Head of Engineering at World since April 2025, Murph previously held key positions including VP of Engineering and Principal Architect at Cantina and Head of Engineering at BeReal. Prior experience at Twitter spanned nearly a decade, where Murph led the largest engineering organization, managed critical technical projects, and contributed significantly to the development of various infrastructure and product features. Early career stages included roles at Microsoft, Google, and Adrenaline Mobility, alongside graduate research at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign, where a Master’s and Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science and Computer Engineering were attained.
