Alin Butac

Alin Butac is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in information security and data protection. Currently serving as a Security Officer and ISO 27001 Lead Implementer at Worldline since August 2023, Alin previously held key roles at Transfond from 2012 to August 2023, including Data Protection Officer, Information Security Coordinator, and Business Continuity Coordinator. Between 2008 and 2012, Alin worked at ING Insurance & ING Pension Fund Romania as a Security, Anti-Fraud and Crisis Management Officer. Prior experience includes the role of Information Security Manager at the Ministry of National Defence's Minister's Office from 2006 to 2008, and various command and planning positions at the Ministry of National Defence Romania from September 1999 to October 2006. Alin's educational background includes a Master’s degree in IT Security from Academia Tehnica Militara and a Bachelor's degree in Mathematics from Universitatea „Spiru Haret” din București, along with a Bachelor’s degree from Academia Trupelor de Uscat.
