Lefras Coetzee

Lefras Coetzee has a diverse work experience in the payments industry. Lefras started their career at Nedbank as a Product Manager from 1994 to 1998. Lefras then moved on to Absa Bank as the Manager of Business Electronic Banking from 1999 to 2005. Lefras joined Standard Bank as the Head of Channel Production from 2006 to 2008. Lefras then worked at WorldPay as the eCommerce Corporate Proposition Manager from 2009 to 2010, and later as the VP of eCommerce Product Proposition from 2010 to 2012. Lefras then joined Barclaycard Payments as the VP of eCommerce and International: Product Management from 2012 to 2014. Lefras is currently working at Worldline Merchant Services, where they held the position of Director of Payment Products from 2014 to 2020, and is currently the Global Head of SMB Product since September 2020. In their current role, Lefras leads a team of product managers and is responsible for managing a portfolio of Worldline Acceptance products for SMB merchants, developing the SMB payment acceptance strategy, and creating a global roadmap for initiatives and product innovations.

Lefras Coetzee obtained a B.A in Humanities, with a focus on Psychology and Industrial Psychology, from the University of Johannesburg between 1995 and 1997. Prior to that, they attended Harrismith from 1984 to 1988, although no degree or field of study was specified.
