Evgenii Porshnev

Evgenii Porshnev has a strong background in quantitative research and software engineering. Evgenii began their career at Moscow State School 57 as a Mathematics Teacher in 2006 and held this role until 2015. In 2008, they joined Cinimex as a Software Engineer and progressively took on more responsibilities, becoming a Leading Software Engineer in 2011 and an Expert Software Engineer in 2014. In 2016, they transitioned to the financial industry by joining WorldQuant as a Quantitative Researcher, where they worked until 2019. During their time at WorldQuant, they also served as a Senior Quantitative Researcher from 2018 to 2019. In 2019, they were promoted to the role of Vice President Portfolio Management (UberQuant), a position they currently hold.

Evgenii Porshnev attended the Independent University of Moscow from 2003 to 2006, where they studied mathematics. Following this, from 2003 to 2008, they pursued a Specialist degree in mathematics at Moscow State University. Later on, they attended the Moscow Bioinformatics School from 2012 to 2014, focusing on the field of study in bioinformatics.
