Ruzan Ahamed

Ruzan Ahamed is an accomplished financial services professional with extensive experience in mobile money and payments, currently serving as Regional Director for South Asia and the GCC at Zepz since May 2018. Ahamed's tenure includes significant leadership roles at WorldRemit and Dialog Axiata PLC, where a pioneering mobile financial services platform was successfully launched. Ahamed has formulated key partnerships with major multinational money transfer operators and provided strategic consultation to entities such as The World Bank. Previously, Ahamed held various managerial positions at Amana Bank, establishing high-net-worth banking propositions and managing investment portfolios. Educational credentials include an MBA from the University of Southern Queensland, a management accounting qualification from CIMA, and a diploma in Islamic banking and finance from the Institute of Bankers of Sri Lanka.
