Javier Rodriguez Cortiñas

Javier Rodriguez Cortiñas has extensive work experience in the technology industry. Javier is currently working as the Director of Engineering at Worldsensing. Prior to this role, they held various positions at Ericsson, including System Owner Mission Critical Applications, Barcelona R&D Site Responsible, and Manager of Server development Mission Critical Applications. At Ericsson, they were responsible for designing and managing the Mission Critical Push-to-talk solution and played a key role in defining the technical strategy. Before their time at Ericsson, Javier worked as the COO at Genaker, where they led development, QA, and DevOps teams and served as a Technical Project Manager. Earlier in their career, they worked as the CTO at VeryChic, overseeing the development of websites and applications, and as a Software Engineering Technical Manager at Scytl Secure Electronic Voting. Javier also held various roles at Genaker, including COO and R&D Solutions Manager. Javier's work experience dates back to 1999, and they have gained extensive expertise in mobile software development, project management, and technical leadership.

Javier Rodriguez Cortiñas has a diverse education history. Starting in 1997, they attended CY Cergy Paris Université where they pursued a DUT degree in Electronics, specializing in GEII. Javier completed this program in 1999. Following this, from 1999 to 2001, Javier enrolled at ESIEE-IT and obtained a MSc degree in Software Engineering, focusing on computer science.

In 2001, Javier moved on to Pierre and Marie Curie University, where they pursued a Master's degree in Software Engineering with a specialization in DESS GLA. Javier completed this program in 2002.

After a gap in their education, they continued their studies in 2011 at Universitat Oberta de Catalunya, where they earned a Telemedicine MSc degree in 2013. The field of study for this program was Telemedicine and eHealth.

Furthermore, Javier has obtained several additional certifications throughout their career. In 2008, they obtained the ScrumMaster certification. More recently, in October 2022, they completed two Skillsoft courses, "Become a Great Listener" and "Building Personal Power through Influence."
