Maite Garcia has been working in the field of communications and translation since 1995. Maite began their career as a Translator, Copyreader, and Proofreader for Editorial Salamandra. From 1997 onwards, they have worked as a freelance translator for German, English, and Spanish. In 2000, they began teaching Spanish-German Translation and Spanish as a Foreign Language at Universidad Internacional Menéndez Pelayo. From 2001 to 2003, they worked as a Spanish Language and Culture Teacher at Universitat Pompeu Fabra and Universidad Carlos III de Madrid, respectively. In 2005, they began teaching Spanish as a Foreign Language at the European Agency for the Evaluation of Medicinal Products. Maite also worked as a Spanish Language and Business Spanish Teacher at the University of the Arts London. From 2007 to 2010, they worked as a Project Coordinator at Salvador Escoda S.A. and a Communications Manager and International Project Coordinator at TRE ALTAMIRA. Since 2019, they have been working as an Innovation Communication Manager at Worldsensing.

Maite Garcia obtained their MA in Linguistics Foreign Language Acquisition from the Universitat de Barcelona between 1998 and 2000. Maite also completed postgraduate studies in Linguistics Foreign Language Acquisition - Deutsch als Fremdsprache from the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona between 1998 and 1999. In 1995, they studied Translation and Language Studies at the University of Surrey. In 1994, they studied Translation and Linguistics Studies at The University of Bonn. From 1993 to 1997, they studied Translation and Interpreting, German, English, and Spanish at the Universitat Pompeu Fabra. In addition, they have obtained several certifications in 2021, including SISTEMAS DE GESTIÓN MEDIOAMBIENTAL. REQUISITOS ISO 14001:2015 from INTEDYA (International Dynamic Advisors), Gestión de la Responsabilidad Corporativa alineada con los Objetivos de Desarrollo Sostenible (UN SDG) from Bureau Veritas Group, and Marco Conceptual de la Responsabilidad Corporativa from Bureau Veritas Group.
